Add the bot to your Twitch chat

Submit your channel and your viewers' $TICKER votes feed straight into the daily Mob pick.

twitch.tv/

How it works

  1. You submit your Twitch channel name above.
  2. We do a quick check that the channel exists, then queue it for review. (Manual review keeps spam out of the system.)
  3. Once approved, the bot joins your chat - usually within an hour. No DM or notification; you can just check mobvsmonkey.lol after a vote and you'll see your channel's votes counting.
  4. The bot is read-only. It never posts in your chat.

How voting works

Anyone in your chat can post $TICKER (e.g. $AAPL, $NVDA) and the bot counts one vote for that ticker. Rules:

  • One vote per Twitch user per day, across every channel the bot is in. Posting in three different channels doesn't triple your vote.
  • The first $TICKER in a message wins. If someone types $AAPL $NVDA, only AAPL counts.
  • Eligible tickers only. Liquid US-listed equities, no penny stocks. Out-of-pool tickers are silently ignored.
  • Votes close at 1:00 PM Eastern, Mon-Fri. After that, the day's pick is locked.

Limitations to know about

  • Subscriber-only or follower-only chat: the bot can't see messages it's not allowed to read. If your chat is in either of those modes, the bot won't count votes from it. Standard chat works fine.
  • Banning the bot: if you ever want to remove it, just /ban mobvsmonkey in your chat. The bot will leave and stay out unless you unban.
  • Submission queue: review is manual, so allow up to 24 hours for approval. Most submissions land much faster.

A note on ownership

We don't verify that you actually own the channel you submit - anyone can submit any channel name. The bot is read-only and joining a public Twitch chat is no different from any other viewer, so the worst case is benign. If a channel owner doesn't want the bot, they /ban it and it's gone.

That said, please don't submit channels you have no relationship with. We curate the list and submitting random channels just creates work for the reviewer (Marcus, who would rather be doing other things).
